A vehicle stops at the gate. You write down who sent it, who drove it, and what it came for. Then you print a slip and send it to the dock.

Gate Entry is the first record of the day for that vehicle. Everything after it — weighing, counting, quality, storage, the bill — hangs off what you type here. Nobody at the dock can fix a wrong grower for you.

A manager sees the page with no buttons — and no message

An admin_manager can open Gate entry, pick a grower, and read everything. But the START CAPTURE heading and its three buttons simply do not appear. The screen does not say why. It is not broken and nothing is missing — only a gate user can start an entry.

The gate screen

Two things only: a grower box at the top to start something new, and a board at the bottom showing what just happened.

The page is titled Gate entry. Under it the screen says Log an incoming vehicle and print its gate tag. The heading START A NEW ENTRY is written in capital letters by the computer — that is normal.

The filter words and the table words do not match

The Status filter offers entered · docked · rejected · closed — these are the computer’s own inside words. The Status column then shows different words. Nobody can guess that entered becomes editable, or that closed becomes Completed. Use the table below.

Pick the grower

The moment you pick a grower, a blue card opens. Read it before you touch anything else.

If a red box appears instead of the buttons

The screen will say, word for word:
“This grower has no posted agreement — gate entry cannot proceed. Direct the driver to store admin.”
There is nothing to press. Do not try another grower name. Send the driver to the office.

The three buttons — choose once

The kind of entry can never be changed

Press the wrong button and there is no way back. When you reopen the entry it only tells you what you did — “Transaction type: Produce In (fixed at creation)”. The only cure is to Delete the entry while it is still editable and make a fresh one.

غلط بٹن دب گیا تو واپسی کا کوئی راستہ نہیں۔ انٹری دوبارہ کھولنے پر وہ صرف بتاتی ہے کہ آپ نے کیا کیا تھا — “Transaction type: Produce In (fixed at creation)”۔ واحد علاج یہ ہے کہ جب تک وہ editable ہے اسے Delete کر کے نئی بنائیں۔

Filling the entry

A white box opens over the page. Its title tells you which button you pressed — for example New Produce In entry.

The computer fills the driver name and vehicle by itself — quietly

The moment the mobile number reaches its 10th digit, the computer looks up that number’s last visit and drops the old driver name and old vehicle number into the two boxes. Nothing flashes. Nothing turns colour. There is no message. The same phone often belongs to a different driver or a different truck today. Read both boxes out loud before you save.

Add more than one sub-grower or khata

+ Add Khata puts another khata under the same sub-grower. + Add Sub-grower starts a whole new sub-grower with its own khata. One Builty can carry several — put them all in now, not later.

Printing the slip

Print tag never works on a new entry — you must reopen it

On a brand-new entry the Print tag button is grey and cannot be pressed. When you press Save changes, the box closes by itself straight away — so you never get a chance to press it there either.

To print, do this every time:
1. Save. The box closes.
2. Find your entry in RECENT ENTRIES — it is the newest row, at the top.
3. Tap that row. The box opens again.
4. Now Print tag works.

نئی انٹری پر Print tag کا بٹن گرے ہوتا ہے، دبتا ہی نہیں۔ اور جب آپ Save changes دباتے ہیں تو خانہ فوراً خود بند ہو جاتا ہے — یعنی وہاں بھی موقع نہیں ملتا۔

One piece of paper, four different names

The same slip is called four things on four screens. They are all the same paper:

Hand the slip to the driver

The slip goes with the vehicle to the dock. The dock staff work from it. If it did not print, reopen the row and press Print tag again — the paper can be printed any number of times, even after the entry says Completed.

پرچی گاڑی کے ساتھ ڈاک تک جاتی ہے۔ ڈاک والے اسی سے کام کرتے ہیں۔ اگر پرنٹ نہ ہوئی ہو تو قطار دوبارہ کھول کر پھر Print tag دبائیں — کاغذ جتنی بار چاہیں نکل سکتا ہے، حتیٰ کہ Completed ہو جانے کے بعد بھی۔

Fixing or removing an entry

انٹری درست کرنا یا ہٹانا

Tap the row in RECENT ENTRIES. If the pill says editable and you are the gate user, the box opens with a grey line at the top: “Allowed until Dock Ops processes it.” Change what is wrong and press Save changes.

RECENT ENTRIES میں قطار پر ٹیپ کریں۔ اگر گولی پر editable لکھا ہو اور آپ gate والے ہوں، تو خانہ کھلے گا اور اوپر گرے سطر ہوگی: “Allowed until Dock Ops processes it.” جو غلط ہے درست کریں اور Save changes دبائیں۔

Any other status opens the same box frozen — every field grey, Save grey. The top line reads “Status: closed — view only.” That word closed is the computer’s inside word for what the table calls Completed.

Delete is forever

The Delete button appears only while the entry is editable. It asks: “Delete entry #12?” and warns “This permanently removes the gate entry. This cannot be undone.” There is no undo, no bin, no copy. Use it only for a wrong-button mistake made minutes ago.

Your daily habit

Before you let the vehicle move: read the grower name, the vehicle number and the driver name back to the driver, out loud. Ten seconds at the gate saves a whole wrong bill at the end of the season.

گاڑی آگے بھیجنے سے پہلے: کاشتکار کا نام، گاڑی کا نمبر اور ڈرائیور کا نام ڈرائیور کو بول کر سنائیں۔ گیٹ پر دس سیکنڈ سیزن کے آخر میں پورا غلط بل بچا لیتے ہیں۔

The computer sometimes shows technical English. Find your message below and do what the last column says.

Never do this

Never pick a different grower just to make the red box go away. The vehicle would then be recorded against a man who never sent it — and his bill at the end of the season would be wrong.
